smashAdz, like all great ideas, came to us quite out of the blue. Sitting around with our family one evening, we were talking about sports, the teams the grandkids wanted to join, the new activities we all wanted to try out and the memories we have of family days watching games when our children were younger.
We realised that sport had been the permanent backdrop to our family story, just like millions of families around the country. Sport is one great uniting force, crossing all barriers and uniting generations, families and communities.
And yet the rising costs of playing amateur sports can get in the way of some young people becoming part of this great tradition.
We decided we needed to find a way to help amateur sports teams and venues secure the funding they needed to thrive.
With our sports marketing background and a strong network of big-name contacts we realised we were perfectly placed to help national brands target local audiences, in turn bringing much-needed advertising dollars to communities across the country.
And so smashAdz was born, a sophisticated collaboration that would help brands expand their reach and at the same time sustain the amateur sports community.
